In late 2022, we acquired a post-war multi-family house built in the 1950s. Since its construction, only minimal modernizations have been undertaken, resulting in a subpar energy performance and high ancillary costs for tenants. In mid-2023, we obtained a building permit to convert the attic into living space.
The comprehensive energy-efficient renovation will include:
- Replacing all windows and doors
- Insulating the facades
- Installing a new elevator and modernizing the balconies
- Switching to central heating utilizing renewable energy sources
- Redesigning all bathrooms
- Replacing all flooring
- Renewing all water, electrical, and sewage lines
- Redesigning the basement
- Converting the attic into living space
- Revamping the backyard for use as parking space
- Redesigning the stairwell
These measures aim to enhance the building’s energy efficiency, reduce tenant costs, and create additional living space through the attic conversion.
